App-specific disclosure for LifeQuest (Android)

Effective date: 25 October 2026 · Publisher: Versanyx

Life Quest (the “App”) is developed by Versanyx (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information the App handles, where it is processed, and the choices available to you. It reflects the current application code and Android configuration.

For privacy questions or requests, email support@versanyx.in.

1. Summary

  • The App does not require an account. The code reviewed contains no Life Quest account server, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.
  • Goals, plans, progress, chat history, profile settings, and preferences are stored on your device in the App’s private storage.
  • Cloud AI, optional web search, model downloads, speech recognition, and Google Play billing involve the services described below when you use those features.
  • On-device AI runs on your device. The App does not send its inference prompts to an AI provider when you use local AI.
  • The App does not sell personal information.

2. Information handled by the App

Depending on the features you use, information stored locally can include:

  • Goals, descriptions, interests, onboarding and clarification answers, availability, preferences, plans, milestones, quests, and progress.
  • Ideas you save or generate, chat prompts and responses, conversation history, and attachment metadata such as file names.
  • A display name, profile photo, App settings, selected AI provider/model, and locally cached purchase access information.
  • Secure Vault information, including notes and file metadata, plus files you choose to add to the Vault.

You may include sensitive information in what you enter or attach. Consider the information you provide, especially before enabling a cloud service.

Photos, documents, and voice

  • If you take or select a photo, the App uses the camera or system picker for that action. A selected chat attachment is referenced from the device or file provider. A profile photo is copied into App-managed storage.
  • The chat feature can extract text from supported PDFs and Office/text documents on-device. Scanned PDF pages and images can be processed with Google ML Kit Text Recognition on-device. Extracted text may then be included in an AI request if you send it to a cloud AI provider. Supported images can also be sent with a cloud request when the selected model supports images and you confirm the transfer. Chat image requests are limited to four images, 8 MB per image and 16 MB in total; PDF and other document extraction also has size and content limits applied by the App.
  • When local AI is selected, supported prompts and image attachments are passed to the on-device model. The App’s current chat implementation sends extracted document text rather than original PDF or Office file bytes to cloud AI. Audio/video support depends on the selected model adapter and may process supported media content or sampled video frames.
  • Voice input uses the platform speech-recognition service to convert speech to text. The App sends recognized text only if you submit it. The operating system or recognition provider may process audio under its own terms. Text-to-speech uses the device’s installed speech engine.
  • The App can create a local PDF progress report from your saved goals and progress. A report is shared only when you request it through the system share interface. Copies you share are then handled by the destination app or service.

3. Services and information sharing

The App sends information to third parties only when needed for a feature you choose or a platform service you use.

Cloud AI

If you select cloud AI, the App sends the relevant prompt and context directly from your device to the provider you select. Current built-in providers are OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, and NVIDIA. You can also configure a compatible custom endpoint; in that case, the configured endpoint receives the request.

Requests may include your message, recent conversation context, supported images, text extracted from attachments, or the goal and planning details needed to create or update a plan. When web search is enabled, search excerpts may also be included. API keys are sent to the selected endpoint for authentication and stored using the operating system’s secure-storage facility. The App does not route these requests through a Life Quest server.

Each provider handles requests under its own terms, privacy policy, and account settings, including its retention and data-use practices. Review those terms before sending personal or confidential information. Provider fees may apply separately from any Life Quest purchase.

Web search

When you enable web search, the App sends your search query to DuckDuckGo and may include returned results in the AI request. DuckDuckGo can receive connection information such as your IP address and request metadata under its own privacy practices.

Local AI model downloads

If you download the recommended model, the App contacts Hugging Face to retrieve model metadata and model files. Hugging Face and network intermediaries may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. Downloaded or imported model files are kept in App-managed storage. Model inference is performed on-device.

Google Play purchases

On Android, the App uses Google Play Billing to display products, start or restore purchases, and check current owned purchases. Google Play processes payment and purchase information under its own policies. The App does not receive your full payment card details. A limited, encrypted access cache is kept in the device’s secure storage for up to 24 hours to support temporary connectivity interruptions. The current App does not send purchase tokens to a Life Quest server.

Email and platform services

If you choose Contact Support or Report, the App opens an email composer addressed to support@versanyx.in. A report may prefill an AI response in the email body. The App does not send the email; it is sent only if you review and submit it. Your email provider then handles it under its own terms.

The operating system and relevant providers may process information to provide secure storage, speech recognition, file/photo selection, sharing, or billing. Their privacy practices and your device settings apply to those services.

4. Secure Vault

The Android App includes a local Secure Vault. Vault notes and encrypted-mode files are encrypted on-device; the vault index is also encrypted. The Vault can additionally store files in an explicitly unencrypted mode. Vault content is not sent to Life Quest servers. If you create an encrypted Vault backup, the App encrypts its contents using a passphrase you choose and saves it to a destination you select. Life Quest cannot recover a forgotten backup passphrase. Files stored in unencrypted mode are protected within the App’s private storage but are not encrypted by the Vault while stored there.

5. Storage and security

The App stores its main database using Hive in app-private storage. The Hive database is not encrypted by the App. API keys and certain secrets, including the temporary purchase-access cache and Vault key material, are stored separately using the operating system’s secure-storage facility. Model files, profile photos, and other App-managed content are kept in App-managed directories.

The Android manifest disables Android Auto Backup for the App. This reduces automatic Android cloud backup of App data, but it does not cover copies you export or share, files stored by other apps, or all device migration and manufacturer tools. Keep your device locked and its operating system up to date. No storage method can guarantee security on a compromised or unlocked device.

6. Retention and deletion

Local information remains on the device until you delete it, clear App storage, or uninstall the App, subject to how the operating system handles files and backups. Individual goals and conversations can be removed in the App. The Delete all data action clears the Hive database, deletes secure-storage entries, and removes installed model files.

Delete all data does not necessarily delete every App-managed file, including a copied profile photo, temporary edited/captured attachments, or Secure Vault files. Deleting a chat does not delete the original photo or document in your gallery or file provider. It also does not delete exported/shared copies or a Vault backup saved elsewhere. Remove those copies separately using the device or destination app.

The App has no Life Quest account or server-side record to delete. Once information has been sent to an AI provider, DuckDuckGo, Hugging Face, a speech-recognition service, an email provider, or Google Play, that service controls its own retention. Use the relevant provider’s privacy controls or contact that provider for requests about copies it holds.

7. Permissions and device information

The Android App requests or declares network access, camera, and microphone permissions for online features, taking photos, and speech input. It also declares Bluetooth, older Android location, notifications, wake-lock, foreground media playback, and Google Play billing permissions. The inspected application code does not use location or Bluetooth features, and it does not currently schedule notifications. Android may show declared permissions even where the corresponding feature is not currently used.

The inspected code does not use device location to personalize goals or track your location. The App may check network connectivity and available storage for model downloads. Ordinary network requests can expose connection information, such as IP address, to the service being contacted.

8. Children

Life Quest is a general-purpose self-development App and is not designed for children. The App does not implement age screening or parental-consent flows. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us at the address below.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can use local AI, leave optional web search off, avoid voice input or attachments, remove saved goals and chats, export information, and use Delete all data. You can manage camera and microphone permissions in device settings and manage purchases through Google Play.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other handling of personal information. Contact us at support@versanyx.in. Requests about information held by third-party providers should be directed to those providers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as App features or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date when we publish a revision. Where appropriate, material changes will also be communicated through the App or the relevant app store.
